before as a convict exile.
m. Henry Lock in Bemondsey, London, Eng. aged 22 years, which would have b een about 1842. (Paul Leppard says they were married in 1841)
On shipping list - her native place is listed as Woodgate, Oxford.
On her Death Certificate it says she was born in Reading, Berkshire Engla nd and at the far right of the Certificate it says - for Reading, Berkshi re England, read Woodcote, Oxfordshire, England. Below>
this correction on the Death Certificate it lists the informant as Jam es Hayter, son-in-law, 17 Apr 1894.
The original informant on the Death Certificate was Henry Lye, son-in-la w, and it was registered on 15 Apr 1894. (I have a copy of this Death Cert ificate).
She was 74 when she died and was buried on 16 Apr 1894 in the St John's Ce metery, Camden.
At the time of her death her living children were Henry T. aged 50, Mos es aged 40 and Sarah aged 37. She also had 2 sons and 2 daughters decease d.
One of these deceased daughters was Mary, wife of James Hayter, and I thi nk the other daughter was Amy G., who was born in 1858 and died in 1859.
I found a David Lock, son of Henry and Sarah, who died in 1881, but no Bir th Index for him - he may have been one of her deceased sons. She may ha ve also lost a son before comming to Australia.
